Discover the Creations of Brandon Ritchie - "Ritchie"
Our journey started a 1 1/2 -2 years ago when I was looking for something to do in my free time. I was bored and tired of always playing video games consistently. So, I looked to the internet for inspiration (Pinterest) and also remembered a limited sauce I had tasted and thought why not make my own. A few searches later I found a recipe, but something was missing. With a few tweaks it led me to create the sauce that started it all, Ritchie's Bourbon Bites
My wife then inspired me to continue creating it. We would use the sauce for smoked ribs, pulled pork, and for the chicken nuggets my kiddos craved. This did not fit the mold though for everything so we started from the original recipe and altered it to create a Rum (Ritchie's Rum Bum, formerly Where's the Rum Gone) based sauce. Stemming from our desire to recreate the sauces we had tried previously we made the sauce and found it was really good and went well with pork and many other flavors.
To make a healthier option we looked at the option of honey as an alternative in place of brown sugar. Thus the quest to create Ritchie's Bourbon Buzz was born. This paired with the fact we moved into our home in Brigham City we found many options and thus the smoother tasting and sweet finish of Ritchie's Bourbon Bites was born.
We were not done yet! After a night of scrolling through Pinterest and a recent move of my friend to North Carolina and my feed was swamped with BBQ sauce recipes. I found out about the world of Carolina Gold Barbecue sauce. This led to experimentation and the craze that is behind our Ritchie Rich's Gold sauce. The mustard tang paired with sweetness throughout and a slow burn to die for.
